Just got back home from Arbor Vitae-Great gig! I am planning for it to be the last one of the year as I need to concentrate on recording. The studio beckons-get ready for the new CD. The poeple were great and into the music. I had an absolute blast!
Thanks to all who came out especialy Denise and Corine, Bevan and Larysa, and Michael the Postman among others. You were all a great audience and I appreciated your enthusiasm totally.
Rode home listening to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. Great stuff!! The first songs I wrote (or albums I should say) were Herb Alpert style stuff. I would walk to and from school and make up an album on the way, making trumpet noises with my lips and putting it all together in my head. If I ever play at a place where there will be music on a PA playing before I go on, I'd like some of those tunes to be TJB tunes! They're a huge part of my musical history.
Now, it's time to fix myself some sleepy time tea, and hit the sack.
