Just got back from an open mic at Borders-those are always fun. Heard this one artist: Becky Johnson. Keep your ears peeled for her-I'm hoping I can get her at a showcase-she's a pleasure to hear.
Also heard my friend and budding songstress, Laurie Davis over the weekend. What an amazing voice. She's got really bad stage fright but really doesn't have to be THAT afraid-she's been blessed with an amazing voice.
Played at Uncommon Ground last week for the Windy City Songwriters. What a fun gig!!! The people ar great, Anita, Elmer, Julie-great artists each one. Ended up taking the "L" because of the Cubs game. Ever try getting through a turnstile with thousands of other human being and a guitar?!?!
I've got some new tunes written and they've been well received-I just need to record them.
Time to grab some shut eye.
