Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004 - 6:12 p.m. Played last night at the Winds cafe. Great place, great food, great turnout. Met some wonderful people and had time to chat with them about their philosophies of music (Thanks Victor for the stimulating conversation!) Kate Newcomer and Jackson Daly ROCKED and it was a blast! I'm grateful to them for the opportunity to share the stage last night. After playing, I ordered some sweet plantain with honey dipping sauce and a glass of Gran Marnier. The Plantain was a meal unto itself. mmmmm....... Tom the owner was gracious and provided free food for the musicians and for the crowd after the gig. He wants to build it as more than just food though that's why he wanted the showcase. I'd love to play there again sometime. Stopped by to visit Herbie at Las Cazuelas. He had the crowd going nuts and singing along. It was great. Headed home then and hit the sack pleasantly wiped out. All in all, a great experience.... ~peace~
