Monday, Sept. 01, 2003 - 8:51 a.m. The trip is slowly coming to a close. It's drizzly out. Tried to get ot to the Egyptian exhibit yesterday but the lines were massive. Instead we went to the Amon Carter Museum. They had exhibits of Americana with Remington bronzes and other bronzes; paintings/engravings and art from the 1800's of Native Americans as well as a photographic exhibit. Cool stuff. Went from there to "The Flying Saucer Draught Emporium", a place where there are HUNDREDS of beers. Had a "world sampler" some nachos and hot wings and home for a nap. Kinda rainy day. Helped out making dinner: T-bone steaks, grilled shrimp, green beans with almond slivers, rissotto and tomatoes, and bruschetta and maragaritas! Absolutely delicious! Watched Men in Black II and went to bed. Today, it's a Spa treatment (b-day gift), dropping off my rented equipment, then a private house concert for my friends the Markwiese's that I'm staying with.
