Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005 - 2:03 a.m. Sox Win!!!! It's 2AM. I sit here with tears rolling down my cheeks. I think of my dad and how he would have loved to see this day. The last time he saw anything close to this was in 1959. He died before this became reality... Today the wait has ended. The years of cheers have not gone unanswered. Faithfulness is always rewarded. The Sox won the 2005 World Series. I just got back from visiting a bar down the street. I bought a couple rounds for the entire place. "Don't stop believing!" keeps running through my head. In some ways it's not that important; yet in other ways there is something surreal about this event, and I'm living a dream that others never experienced.... White Sox!!!!!!!! To many this might not mean much-to me: the angels in heaven are joining in this chorus and my dad is directing the choir.... The tears are flowing again.... call me sentimental, call me silly... I call it faithfulness and it can never lead you wrong.... you, no we, are all champions.... ~peace~
